Lockyer Insurance started from humble beginnings. It was founded by Annette Lockyer in 1981, as a small shop counter in Normanton, serving the local community. In the past 3 decades it has grown considerably and is now a member of Broker Network, who along with their parent company Towergate, currently place around £1.8bn of insurance every year.

This relationship with Broker Network allows Lockyer Insurance to maintain its independence, yet have the buying power to get the most competitive deals around, and access to products that are exclusive to network members.

Jon Newall (Annette’s Son) has owned and run Lockyer Insurance since 2000, and has grown the company to its current levels through his attention to detail and great customer service. This is why most of Lockyer’s clients come to us through recommendation. It goes without saying that these core values are instilled in each and every one of Lockyer’s team of experienced brokers.

Although we now concentrate in providing insurance solutions for businesses, we still have excellent facilities for Car, Home & Travel Insurance.

With a central position in the UK, in Normanton, close to Jct. 31 of the M62, so we are able to service clients in Pontefract, Leeds, Bradford, Castleford, Wakefield and Doncaster with ease, but without the overheads associated with the city centre commercial brokers. These savings are passed on to our clients, with lower premiums and charges.

We now deal with virtually every insurer in the UK, which means there is virtually nothing we can’t insure. However, every business has specialities and Lockyers is no different. I would also like to point out that we are based in Yorkshire, we don’t use or advocate the use of overseas call centres. All our calls are answered by real brokers, with real experience, and we won’t confuse you with industry jargon, complicated terms or try to blind you with science.
